This week, the fans of Will & Grace were gifted with an epilogue to the sitcom’s finale. Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally graced our screens once again in a sweet two-minute scene that hilariously honored the late Debbie Reynolds.
In typical Will & Grace fashion, Messing and McCormack’s characters pass by a visibly distraught man outside of their apartment building. The man is holding a plant labeled “Debbie” and is sobbing uncontrollably.
They notice his pitiful expression and decide to investigate what’s going on. It becomes clear soon after that this stranger is mourning not only for his own loss but also for legendary actress and singer Debbie Reynolds who passed away one day before him.
McCormack and Messing comfort the man as he becomes emotional about his own life, the loved ones still in it, and how Reynolds touched so many lives in her 92 years on this planet. In a moving moment, McCormack reassuringly squeezes the stranger’s hand.
He responds by saying “I have never felt the touch of another man. But it was nice.”
Thank You, Debbie Reynolds, for all that you have done and continue to do for us. Rest in peace. (via The New York Post)
